Located between Main & 12th Street in Downtown Lynchburg has to be my favorite restaurant in the city, Rendez-Vous. The restaurant features a French-Caribbean inspired menu that never disappoints.

The atmosphere at Rendez-Vous is inviting with white table cloths accented with purple chairs and plush gray booths. It is the perfect atmosphere for any event from book club to business meeting to romantic dinner.

I will fully admit my bias and Lynchburg definitely needed a Caribbean restaurant but this restaurant that opened last November, has quickly become my weekly must-eat treat. If I have business meetings I always schedule them there, the restaurant highlight some of the best food the city has to offer.

The menu is varied and can easily facilitate the tastes of even the fussiest eaters. I must say I am particularly partial to their escargot, the hangar steak substituted with rice and beans, the pasta au gratin and their conch fritters. However, over the past few months I have worked my way through the menu and I have yet to encounter a dish that I didn't absolutely love.

Their cocktail and wine menu pairs superbly with dinner but again I favor their mango ginger margaritas, salted, They are the perfect drink to unwind after a long day or week at work.

Rendez-Vous recently implemented their happy hour for the summer. This includes $5 drinks and $2 tacos.

If you're in Lynchburg, definitely add this to you list of must-eat places. Let me know if you enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere as much as I do.
